§ 15-1-2 UNLAWFUL FOR ABANDONED WELL TO REMAIN OPEN.
   It shall hereafter be unlawful to permit any well drilled for oil, gas or salt water disposal, or for any other purpose in connection with the production of oil and gas to remain open or unplugged in violation of the requirements of the Oil and Gas Division of the Illinois State Department of Mines and Minerals after the completion of said well as a dry hole, or after the abandonment thereof, or after a previously-producing oil well ceases to produce oil and/or in commercial quantities and the production from same is no longer being marketed.
