§ 1-4-5 REDISTRICTING AFTER ANNEXATION.
   Redistricting after annexation of territory to the city shall be as follows:
   (A)   If an increase in inhabitant resulting from the annexation of any territory is sufficient to entitle the city to an increase in the number of Aldermen, the City Council shall redistrict the city in accordance with § 1-4-4.
   (B)   If such increase in inhabitant is not sufficient to entitle the city to an increase in the number of Aldermen, the City Council shall make the annexed territory a part of the ward or wards which it adjoins.
   (C)   Whenever general redistricting occurs, annexed territory need not be treated as a unit and may be divided as if it had always been a part of the city.
