5-1-1: FIREARMS DISCHARGE WITHIN RED CLIFFS DESERT WILDLIFE RESERVE:
   A.   Discharge Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge a firearm or weapon within or into the boundaries of the Washington County tortoise habitat conservation plan red cliffs desert wildlife reserve, except during state regulated hunting within prescribed seasons and except areas as designated by the Washington County habitat conservation plan administration. Propelling an arrow by a bow shall be considered a discharge of a weapon for purposes of this section. Any device or instrument loaded with powder or other explosive, or a gun or pistol actuated by compressed air, shall be considered a firearm. (Ord. 642, 4-3-1997)
   B.   Penalty: Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 642, 4-3-1997; amd. 2004 Code)
