(A) All businesses with a volume of garbage of more than four 30 gallon bags a week on a regular basis (more than three weeks in a row) are required to use a dumpster (dumpster shall be contracted directly between the business and the trash collection service provider) and shall be considered a commercial account, including all apartments of three or more units. All licensed businesses that do not require a dumpster shall pay the residential rate plus $2.40. For each additional unit associated with a small business account, and for each industrial account, there shall be an additional $2.40 per month charge (total of $4.80 above the residential rate).
(B) The rate for the garbage collection on residential accounts shall be as follows or until a different rate is established by the city:
(1) From January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023: $17.00 per month;
(2) From January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024: $17.85 per month; and
(3) From January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025: $18.74 per month.
(C) A residence is defined as a family unit in § 50.02.
