As used in this chapter:
(a) “Security guard” means any person engaged for hire or employed as a watchperson, guard, private patrol officer, or other person whose primary duty is to protect person or property. “Security guard” does not mean any peace officer as described in Section 2935.01(B) of the Ohio Revised Code.
(b) “Security guard provider” means any person or entity who engages in furnishing, for hire, a security guard(s).

(a) No person or entity shall act or serve as a security guard provider within the corporate limits of the City unless that person or entity is licensed as a security guard provider in accordance with Chapter 4749 of the Ohio Revised Code (or any successor statute(s) thereto).
(b) No security guard provider shall furnish, for hire, any security guard to act or serve as such within the corporate limits of the City who is not registered as a security guard in accordance with Chapter 4749 of the Ohio Revised Code (or any successor statute(s) thereto).
(c) No person shall act or serve as a security guard within the corporate limits of the City unless that person is registered as a security guard in accordance with Chapter 4749 of the Ohio Revised Code (or any successor statute(s) thereto).

(a) Any record(s) provided for by Chapter 4749 of the Ohio Revised Code (or any successor statute(s) thereto) or the Ohio Administrative Code, relative to a security guard provider or a security guard shall be provided by the security guard provider to the Warren Police Department upon request for same by the Chief of Police of the City.
(b) Any record(s) provided for by Chapter 4749 of the Ohio Revised Code (or any successor statute(s) thereto) or the Ohio Administrative Code, relative to a security guard shall be provided by the security guard to the Warren Police Department upon request for same by the Chief of Police of the City.

Every security guard provider and every security guard furnished by a security guard provider intending to carry a firearm in the course of engaging in the security guard business or employment, shall comply, at all times while carrying a firearm, with Section 4749.06(D) of the Ohio Revised Code, Section 4799.10 of the Ohio Revised Code, and any successor statute(s) thereto.

Should a security guard become aware of any discharge of a firearm occurring at a location within the City while he/she was acting as a security guard for or to that location, the security guard shall report such discharge to the Police Department of the City immediately upon becoming aware of same.
