1-9-6: CHIEF OF POLICE:
All writs or processes of the court shall be directed, in his official title, to the chief of police of the city, who shall be the principal officer of the court. The chief of police shall execute any writs or other processes directed to him, except as herein otherwise provided, and such duty may be performed by any members of the police force of the city. The chief of police shall be ex officio marshal of the court. (1986 Code § 12-13)
