As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning, the following words shall mean:
CHIEF OF POLICE: The peace officer in charge of the police force of the city.
CLERK: The clerk of the city, including any deputy or member of the office staff of the city clerk while performing duties of the clerk's office.
COURT: The municipal court of the city.
GOVERNING BODY: The city council of the city, including the mayor under those circumstances where he is entitled to vote under the laws of the state of Oklahoma, and ordinances of the city.
JUDGE: The judge of the municipal court, aforesaid, including any acting judge or alternate judge thereof as provided for by the statutes of the state, and this chapter.
THIS JUDICIAL DISTRICT: The district court judicial district of the state of Oklahoma, wherein the government of the city is situated. (1986 Code § 12-2; amd. 2005 Code)
