A. City Requirements: The city shall require design and construction techniques for new sewers and connections.
B. Compliance With State Regulations: All new sanitary sewage works shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the requirements of the Oklahoma state department of health regulations. (1986 Code § 18-26)
C. Availability Of Public Sewer: When a public sewer becomes available (within 100 feet), the building sewer shall be connected to said sewer within sixty (60) days. If the owner fails to connect, the owner shall be charged the monthly rate as if he or she had connected upon the expiration of the sixty (60) days. (1986 Code § 18-26; amd. 2005 Code)
D. Violations; Remedial Action:
1. The city may pursue criminal and civil remedies under authority of statutes or ordinances against a person continuing prohibited discharges, in addition to the penalty provided for in this chapter.
2. The city reserves the right to terminate service to any customer that fails to pay bills when due or discharges any prohibited wastes into the sewer system. (1986 Code § 18-26)
