8-3-7: SEWER INFLOW AND SEWER TRAPS:
   A.   Inflow Sources Prohibited 1 : It shall be unlawful for any person to maintain or allow to be maintained on his property any connection from inflow sources into the sanitary sewer system of the city. "Inflow sources" as used herein are defined to be any connection to the sanitary sewer system of the city which allows the entrance of storm waters, including, but not limited to, downspout connections, area drains such as surface inlets, direct storm sewer connections, open cleanouts, abandoned and unplugged service lines, broken service lines and uncovered manholes.
   B.   Grease Trap Required: It shall be unlawful for any person not to construct and maintain a trap if they discharge grease or waste containing grease in excessive amounts, oil, sand, flammable waste, or other harmful ingredients. The trap shall be of a type and capacity approved by the city which is readily and easily accessible for cleaning and inspection.
   C.   Violation; Remedies: Upon violation of either subsection A or B of this section, in addition to other remedies, the city shall have the right to terminate service. Further, this section shall not be construed to interfere with any civil remedy which might be available to the city. (1986 Code § 18-24)
