A. Office Created: The Vinita utilities authority is hereby authorized to create the office of superintendent of public utilities and to specify such duties and responsibilities as the board of the Vinita utilities authority shall determine to be necessary and advisable for such office in the interest of the public welfare and the safe and efficient operation of the facilities of the Vinita utilities authority. B. Police Power: The superintendent of public utilities shall have the rights and power of a police officer when performing his official duties. (1986 Code § 18-2)
C. Approval Of Necessary Expenditures: The superintendent is authorized to approve necessary expenditures of the utilities authority for amounts up to five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) per purchase. (Ord. 3395, 6-3-2008)
