A. Penalty Imposed: Each violation of this chapter or of any regulation, order, or ruling promulgated hereunder shall constitute a misdemeanor and be punishable in the municipal court of the city as provided in section 1-9-13 of this code, and each day a violation continues to exist shall constitute a separate offense. B. Remedial Action: In addition, the city may institute an action to prevent, restrain, correct or abate any violation of the act, or this chapter and its regulations or of any order or ruling made in connection with their administration or enforcement, in any court of competent jurisdiction.
