6-2-10: MINITRUCKS:
   A.   Minitrucks may be operated on the roadways of this city; provided, however, minitrucks shall not be permitted to travel upon any highway in this state which is a part of the national system of interstate and defense highways. Operators of minitrucks shall comply with all traffic regulations and rules of conduct for the operation of motor vehicles on the roadways of this state provided by law.
   B.   "Minitruck" means a foreign manufactured import or domestic manufactured vehicle powered by an internal combustion engine with a piston or rotor displacement of one thousand (1,000) cubic centimeters or less, which is sixty seven inches (67") or less in width, with an unladen dry weight of three thousand four hundred (3,400) pounds or less, traveling on four (4) or more tires, having a top speed of approximately fifty five (55) miles per hour, equipped with a bed or compartment for hauling, and having an enclosed passenger cab.
   C.   Nothing in this section shall be construed as to absolve operators of minitrucks from the requirements of titling and registration of minitrucks prior to operation on public roadways pursuant to 47 Oklahoma Statutes 1151.3 effective November 1, 2008. (Ord. 3408, 9-16-2008)
