Pursuant to 63 Oklahoma Statutes section 2814, the city is authorized to provide for the operation of an emergency telephone service and is further authorized to impose an emergency telephone fee for such service in areas, subject to the jurisdiction of the city, for which emergency telephone service has been contracted. The city is further authorized to perform other acts as are necessary for the protection and preservation of the public health if necessary for the operation of the emergency telephone system.
