Under Sections 917.01 to 917.05, a number shall be allowed for every twenty feet front. Houses shall be numbered according to the number of the space in which they fall. In the business portion of the City, as provided in the Zoning Ordinance, where permanent rooms are now established they shall be numbered in order as they come, allowing a full number for each stairway leading up to offices or workrooms, provided that the block is built up solid, one room joining onto another.
