355.01 DEFINITIONS.

   The following words and phrases, when used in this chapter of the Traffic Code, shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section.

   (a)    "Parking Infraction" means a violation of the following sections of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Upper Sandusky, Ohio:

      (1)   351.01 Police may remove unattended vehicle which obstructs traffic.

      (2)    351.02 Registered owner prima-facie liable for unlawful parking.

      (3)    351.03 Prohibited standing or parking places.

      (4)    351.04 Parking near curb, handicapped locations on public and private lots and garages.

      (5)    351.05 Manner of angle parking.

      (6)    351.06 Selling, washing or repairing vehicle upon roadway.

      (7)    351.07 Unattended vehicle: duty to stop engine, remove key, set brake, and turn wheels.

      (8)    351.08 Opening vehicle door on traffic side.

      (9)    351.09 Truck loading zones.

      (10)   351.10 Bus stops and taxicab stands.

      (11)    351.11 Parking in alleys and narrow streets; exceptions.

      (12)    351.12 Prohibition against parking on streets or highways.

      (13)    351.13 Parking on public and private property.

      (14)    351.14 Public use of parking lots.

      (15)    351.15 One hour parking of heavy vehicles.

      (16)    351.16 Storage of inoperative or unlicensed vehicle; notice exception

      (17)    351.17 Snow emergency parking ban

      (18)    351.18 Waiver provisions.

      (19)    351.19 Size of vehicles in downtown; moped and motorcycle areas.

      (20)    351.20 Parking on posted private property.

      (21)    353.02 Parking within marked lines of meter space.

      (22)    353.03 Deposit of coin required; illegal parking

      (23)    353.04 Parking prohibited in meter space

      (24)    353.06 Violation; notice and waiver payment

      (25)    353.08 Overtime parking in free courtesy spaces during regular business hours

   (b)    "Vehicle" has the same meaning as in Ohio R.C. 4511.01.

   (c)    "Violations Clerk" means the Clerk of the Upper Sandusky Parking Violations Bureau.

   (d)    "Parking Violations Bureau" means the bureau established by the Council of the City of Upper Sandusky pursuant to Ohio R.C. 4521.04 and Section 355.03 hereof.

   (e)    "Law Enforcement Officer" and/or "Pollice Officer" has the same meaning as in Section 301.25 and 501.01 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and shall also mean any City employees and agents whose duties include the issuance of parking infraction tickets while engaged in such duty.

   (f)    "Notification of Infraction" means the notice mailed to the owner or operator of a vehicle involved in a parking infraction pursuant to Ohio R.C. 4521.07 and Section 355.04 hereof.

   (g)    "Court" or "Municipal Court" means the Upper Sandusky Municipal Court, unless specifically identified as another court, in which case it means the specifically identified court.

   (h)    "Disability parking space," also known as "handicapped parking spaces," means a motor vehicle parking location that is reserved for the exclusive standing parking of a vehicle that is operated by or on behalf of a person with a disability that limits or impairs the ability to walk and displays a placard or license plates issued under Ohio R.C. 4503.44.

   (i)    "Person with a disability that limits or impairs the ability to walk" has the same meaning as in Ohio R.C. 4503.44.
