(A) No person shall, in any park or park street:
(1) Disobey an order of a police officer or any park employee designated by the Board of Parks and Recreation to give orders, or disobey or disregard the notices, prohibitions, instructions, or directions on any park sign, including rules and regulations of swimming pools, playground areas, civic centers, shelter houses, museums, or zoological or botanical gardens which are posted on the buildings or structures connected with or used for any purpose under the jurisdiction, control, operation, or supervision of the Board;
(2) Use threatening, abusive, or insulting language;
(3) Do, engage in, aid, or abet any obscene or indecent act;
(4) Throw, cast, or propel stones or other missiles;
(5) Solicit alms, subscriptions, or contributions for any purpose;
(6) Molest or annoy any persons;
(7) Interfere with, encumber, obstruct, or render dangerous, any part of a park or park street;
(8) Climb or lie upon any wall, fence, shelter, seat, or other structure;
(9) Do any act tending to or amounting to a breach of peace;
(10) Enter or leave any park except at established entrance ways or exits at established times; or use, gain admittance to, or attempt to use or gain admittance to any facilities or event in the park for the use of which, or admittance to which, a charge is made, without paying the charge or price fixed by the Board or its duly authorized agent or officer;
(11) Engage in, instigate, or encourage a contention or fight;
(12) Do, aid, abet, or assist in doing any act injurious to any person;
(13) Dress or undress behind shrubs or other structures, or in any place not designated by the Board for such purposes;
(14) Act as crier, or advertise, through the media of voice, public address system, amplifier, loudspeaker, or other mechanical device, in parks, park streets, or beaches; or
(15) Appear in or upon any park or park street while intoxicated or under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
(B) No person shall pick up, remove, carry away, or steal any article or object having to do with the park or an agent thereof or person connected therewith, particularly such items as golf balls, golf flags, cups, and tee markers.

No person shall play games of chance, sell fortunes or futures, or participate in the conduct of a lottery; use any slot machine, gaming table, or instrument; or bring into the park or have in his possession while there any implements or devices commonly used or intended to be used for gambling purposes.

(A) No person shall bring into or have in his possession in any park any firearms, slingshots, firecrackers, torpedoes, fireworks, or other missiles, propelling instruments, or explosives, including any substance, compound, mixture, or article having properties of such a character that alone or in combination or contiguity with other substances, mixtures, compounds, or articles may propel missiles or may decompose suddenly and generate sufficient heat, sound, gas, pressure, or any or all of these to produce rapid flames, combustion, or noxious or dangerous odors or sounds such as to annoy any other person or to injure any person or property.
(B) No person shall shoot or propel any missile, pellet, shot, arrow, dart, or other thing by means of any firearms, compressed air or gas propulsion devices, bows, slingshots, or propelling devices of any kind in or into any park except under a permit granted by the Board of Parks and Recreation or within a regularly-conducted event authorized by or conducted by the Board or the Superintendent of Parks and Recreation.

No person shall bring beer, ale, or other alcoholic beverages into any park, or consume, have in possession, sell, give away, or handle any intoxicating or alcoholic beverages in any park.

(A) The parks and playgrounds where children are present including, but not limited to, Harter Park and all other city owned public parks within the city limits are designated tobacco-free.
(B) Appropriate signage will be posted designating tobacco-free areas and the community will be notified of the ordinance codified herein.
(C) Violators will be immediately ejected from Harter Park and/or all other public parks within the city limits.

(A) The Common Council makes the exception for alcoholic beverages at approved hosted events at the artisan amphitheater/park in accordance with rules and regulations of the Board of Public Works and Safety;
(B) The person requesting to serve alcoholic beverages shall obtain a permit from Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission;
(C) It is the intent of the Common Council to accept approved alcoholic beverage sales permit exceptions; and
(D) The Common Council of the City of Union City, State of Indiana to approve alcoholic beverage permit exceptions issued by the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission.
