The owner or contractor shall furnish satisfactory evidence as to the kind and quality of materials intended for use in the construction or reconstruction of walks or driveways either separately or in combination.
All material used on any work shall be subject to test. for the purpose of ascertaining quality, strength, durability, etc., and that the same meets the requirements of the specifications for the construction or reconstruction of walks and driveways on file in the office of the Division of Engineering Services.
Walks shall be constructed of natural color Portland cement concrete. Use of other materials will be allowed upon approval of the Commissioner and City Council.
