11-20-5: ZONING PERMITS:
   A.   Permit Required; Application:
      1.   Permit Required: In order to promote the orderly growth and development of the City, to ensure proper use of the land, conservation, stabilization and protection of the use value of properties; to adequately provide for utilities, streets, and convenience; and to provide for the public health, safety and general welfare; no person shall hereafter erect, or construct or proceed with the erection of or construction of any building or structure, or externally add to or enlarge, alter, repair, remove or convert, extend or demolish any noncommercial or nonindustrial building or structure or cause the same to be done without first obtaining a zoning permit therefor from the City Clerk upon authorization of the City Council.
      2.   Contents Of Application: The applicant for a zoning permit, before receiving a permit, shall file with the City Clerk his written application for said permit and make an affidavit thereto that the statements and descriptions of materials, the dimensions of the buildings, the exact size, lot or block to be occupied, the total cost of erection including plumbing, heating, wiring, the purpose for which the structure will be used, are full, true and complete. It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to hereafter furnish all applicants for zoning permits an application for a zoning permit. (1977 Code § 15.08.010; amd. 2000 Code)
      3.   Misrepresentation Of Information: Any applicant who shall swear falsely as to the contents respecting any matter in said application or who shall make any false representation in said affidavit shall be deemed guilty of perjury and shall be punished as provided by law.    B.   Penalty: Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this section shall be subject to a fine as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (1977 Code § 15.08.050; amd. 2000 Code)
