A. Use Prohibited; Exception: The use of air compression brakes generally known as "jake brakes" is hereby prohibited within the City limits. An exception shall be if, in an emergency situation, the use of air compression brakes is necessary to prevent accident or injury to persons or property.
B. Penalty: Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 258-99, 6-8-1999; amd. 2000 Code)
