PROHIBITED SIGNS
§ 155.040 FAILURE TO OBTAIN PROPER PERMITS.
   No sign or other advertising structure shall be erected or maintained in violation of the permit requirements of § 155.020 of this chapter.

§ 155.041 DAMAGED OR INADEQUATELY MAINTAINED SIGNS.
   No sign or other advertising structure shall be inadequately maintained so as to show evidence of deterioration, including peeling, rust, dirt, fading, discoloration or holes. Damaged signs shall be repaired or removed within 30 days of notice.

§ 155.042 OUTDATED SIGNS.
   No sign or other advertising structure shall advertise a business or product which is no longer in existence. Abandoned or outdated signs shall be replaced or moved within 30 days of notice.

§ 155.043 OBSTRUCTIONS TO DOORS, WINDOWS OR FIRE ESCAPES; ATTACHMENT TO STANDPIPE OR FIRE ESCAPE.
   (A)   No sign or other advertising structure shall be erected, relocated or maintained so as to prevent free ingress to or egress from any door, window or fire escape.
   (B)   No sign of any kind shall be attached to a standpipe or fire escape.

§ 155.044 TRAFFIC HAZARDS.
   No sign or other advertising structure shall:
   (A)   Obstruct free and clear vision at any street intersection;
   (B)   Interfere with, obstruct the view of or be confused with any authorized traffic sign, signal or device because of its position, shape or color; and/or
   (C)   Make use of the words “Stop”, “Look”, “Drive-in”, “Danger” or any other word, phrase, symbol or character in a manner that interferes with, misleads or confuses traffic.

§ 155.045 UNSAFE SIGNS.
   No sign or other advertising structure shall constitute a hazard to safety or health by reason of inadequate design, construction, repair or maintenance.
