§ 154.01 STATE PLUMBING LICENSE LAW ADOPTED.
   There is hereby adopted for and by the city the Plumbing License Law of 1947 of the state, codified as Tex. Occupations Code §§ 1301.001 et seq., insofar as it applies to the city. Any plumber covered by the law who performs plumbing services in the city shall have the plumbing license as provided by such law.

§ 154.02 PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR CONTRACTORS.
   Each holder of a master plumbing license in the state shall, as a condition for the issuance of a plumbing permit in the city, furnish a certificate of insurance or other acceptable evidence that the holder has public liability insurance with an insurance company approved by the city insuring in a sum of not less than $300,000 against personal injury and $300,000 against property damage.

§ 154.03 WET VENTING.
   Within the limits of the city, no wet venting shall be allowed. A variance may be issued if there is no feasible alternative to wet venting. Any request for a variance shall be submitted along with two sets of riser diagrams to the Plumbing Appeals and Advisory Board for review and approval or disapproval.

§ 154.04 PROHIBITED PIPE.
   (A)   Galvanized pipe shall not be used for water piping in the city.
   (B)   Polybutylene (Quest) pipe shall not be used for water piping in the city.
   (C)   No cellcore or foam core pipe shall be used.
