A. Load Limits: It shall be unlawful to drive any motor vehicle with a weight, including load, in excess of twelve thousand (12,000) pounds on any of the following streets: Cherokee Street, Walnut Street, Main Street, Washington Street, Webster Street from Park Street south, Vine Street, Main Cross Street, Vandeveer Street, Market Street, Franklin Street, Shumway Street between Second Street north to Park Boulevard, the alley between Vine Street and Main Cross Street and the alley between Market Street and Franklin Street. B. Semitrucks: Unless the city's police chief, or his designee from time to time or the mayor, personally gives his express prior consent under extenuating or emergency circumstances, to be determined in his sole discretion, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this title, it shall be unlawful for any person to drive or move any "truck-tractor" and/or "semitrailer" (as defined in subsection 6-3-7G of this title) on, upon, over, or across any part of the following streets in the city:
