§ 93.75 POLICE SECURITY BY OFF-DUTY OFFICER REQUEST.
   Anyone requesting security service by an off-duty officer beyond normal police duties must have prior approval by the Chief of Police. The requesting party will be charged a fee of $5 per vehicle per hour. The hourly rate of pay for the officer(s) will be determined by the Chief of Police and the off-duty officer(s). Anyone requesting security services for more than one event per calendar year must provide proof of worker’s compensation coverage covering the off-duty officer(s) who are acting as a contractor outside the color of the law.

§ 93.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   A fine of $100 per occurrence shall be imposed on any person or persons who violates any provisions of §§ 93.01 through 93.13 of this chapter or gives false information to obtain a permit under this chapter.
   (B)   Notwithstanding the foregoing division (A), the town shall enforce this chapter by the appropriate equitable remedy issuing from a court of competent jurisdiction pursuant to G.S. § 160A-175(d).
   (C)   A $50 fine will be imposed for each violation of § 93.14.
