(a) The 2017 Ohio Building Code and subsequent updates as promulgated by the State of Ohio is hereby adopted by reference per Section 4.13 of the Sunbury Charter.
(1) Application of this subsection (a) will commence when the City of Sunbury is certified by the State of Ohio as a sub-building department and inspection and enforcement begins by the County of Delaware.
(2) One copy of the 2017 Ohio Building Code and subsequent updates as promulgated by the State of Ohio shall be authenticated and recorded by the Clerk of Council as provided in Section 4.09 and 4.10 of the Sunbury Charter. The Clerk of Council is also hereby directed to publish a summary on the City website as provided in Section 4.15 of the Sunbury Charter.

(b) The Building Code of Delaware County Ohio dated July 27, 2006 and specifically including revisions January 10, 2011 and July 5, 2018 and subsequent revisions as promulgated by the Delaware County Commissioners, with the exception of Sections 4.01 and 4.04 which do not apply, is hereby adopted by reference per Section 4.13 of the Sunbury Charter.
(1) Application of this subsection (b) will commence when the City of Sunbury is certified by the State of Ohio as a sub-building department and inspection and enforcement begins by the County of Delaware.
(2) One copy of Building Code of Delaware County Ohio effective July 27, 2006 and including revisions January 10, 2011 and July 5, 2018 and subsequent revisions as promulgated by the Delaware County Commissioners, with the exception of Sections 4.01 and 4.04 which do not apply, shall be authenticated and recorded by the Clerk of Council as provided in Section 4.09 and 4.10 of the Sunbury Charter. The Clerk of Council is also hereby directed to publish a summary on the City website as provided in Section 4.15 of the Sunbury Charter.
