Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a minor misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues. However, the payment of any sum required by Sections 1042.06, 1042.07, 1042.10, 1042.11 or 1042.12 to be paid to the Director of Finance shall be a defense to prosecution hereunder for all offenses subsequent to such payment.
