10-7-2: PERMITTED USES:
   A.   Any use permitted in the R-2 Dwelling District (Section 10-5B-1 of this title), except single-family dwellings.
   B.   Art, book, school supply, and stationery stores.
   Auto repair garage.
   Bakery shops, including the baking and processing of food products when prepared for retail use on the premises only.
   Barbershop, beauty parlor, massage, or similar personal service shops.
   Candy and ice cream shop.
   Drugstores.
   Dyeing, dry cleaning, and laundry works having a boiler with a steam generating capacity no greater than one thousand five hundred (1,500) pounds of steam per hour, having no more than five (5) employees employed at any one time on the premises, having a portion of the premises devoted to the pickup and delivery to customers of items to be dyed, dry cleaned, or laundered and which does not operate before the hour of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. nor after the hour of nine o'clock (9:00) P.M. and which utilizes only underwriter approved non-flammable solutions and materials in its operations.
   Floral shop and conservatory for retail trade on the premises only.
   Food and fruit stores.
   Gift stores.
   Launderette, laundromat, or similar self-service laundry or self-service dry-cleaning establishment.
   Meat markets.
   Newsstands.
   Rental establishments.
   Restaurant, tearoom, and café when the establishment is not of the drive-in type where food is served to customers remaining in the motor vehicle.
   Service stations, excluding any such operation which may include the repair or servicing of motor vehicles, except as defined under "automobile repair, minor" in Subsection 10-1-2B of this title.
   Tobacco stores.
   Any other similar type retail stores not specifically permitted in this subsection when authorized by the governing body after receipt of review and recommendations from the planning commission.
   Any accessory use or building customarily incidental to the above permitted uses and as regulated by subsequent sections of this title.
   C.   Amusement establishments: Bowling alleys, dance halls, and other similar places of recreation when conducted wholly within a completely enclosed building.
   Auto accessory store where there is no driveway entrance across the sidewalk into the main building.
   Banks, financial institutions, savings and loan associations.
   Bicycle repair, sales and rental.
   Blueprinting and photo stating establishments.
   Bus passenger terminal.
   Camera and photographic supply shops for retail sales.
   Computer and office equipment sales and service.
   Custom dressmaking, millinery, tailoring or shoe repair conducted for retail sales on the premises only.
   Department stores.
   Dry cleaning and dressing establishments, when employing facilities for the cleaning and pressing of dry goods, received on the premises from retail trade only and not including any wholesale cleaning or pressing business, and when using carbon tetrachloride, perchloroethylene, or other similar non-flammable solvents approved by the fire department.
   Dry goods store, haberdashery, and wearing apparel stores.
   Electrical appliance store and repair, but not including appliance assembly or manufacturing.
   Frozen food lockers.
   Funeral homes and mortuaries.
   Furniture store and upholstery.
   Furrier, when conducted for retail trade on the premises only.
   Garden supplies and seed stores.
   Gift shops.
   Hardware stores.
   Hobby stores.
   Hotels, including dining and meeting rooms, when business uses occupy the street  frontage except for an entranceway to the hotel lobby.
   Household appliance store and repair shops.
   Interior decorating shops, including upholstery and making of draperies, slipcovers, and other similar articles, when conducted as part of the retail operations and secondary to the main use.
   Jewelry store and watch repair.
   Leather goods and luggage store.
   Medical clinics.
   Messenger or telegraph service stations.
   Off street parking facilities in an open lot or a covered building.
   Offices, business and professional.
   Paint and wallpaper store.
   Photography studio, art gallery or studio, including the developing of film and pictures when conducted as part of the retail business on the premises.
   Plumbing showroom, without shop or repair facilities.
   Post office.
   Public utility collection offices.
   Service stations, public garages, and other motor vehicle services, provided no major repair work is performed out of doors, provided all pumps, underground storage tanks, lubricating, and other devices are located at least thirty feet (30') from any street right-of-way, provided all fuel, oil, or similar substances are stored inside or underground, and provided all automobile parts, dismantled vehicles, and similar articles are stored within a building.
   Shoe store.
   Sporting goods store.
   Tailor shop.
   Theaters, indoor.
   Variety store.
   Wearing apparel shop.
   Any other similar type retail store not specifically listed in this subsection, when authorized by the governing body after receipt of review and recommendations from the Planning Commission.
   D.   Air conditioning and heating, sales and service.
   Automobile motor repair, sales and service shop, including automobile body repair and rebuilding, and painting of automobiles.
   Battery and the service stations.
   Beverage, non-alcoholic, bottling and distributing.
   Bicycle and motorcycle sales, repair and rental.
   Boat display, sales and service.
   Farm implement display, sales and service.
   Feed and seed store.
   Kennel.
   Mobile home sales and rental on an open lot or within a building.
   Motel.
   Pet shop or animal hospital when conducted wholly within a enclosed building.
   Plumbing, heating, and roofing supply shops when conducted wholly within a building.
   Recreation places, including bowling alley, dance hall, gymnasium, skating rink, archery range, miniature golf course, or other similar places of amusement or entertainment when operated for pecuniary profit.
   Restaurant, non-drive-in, drive-in or service.
