1-7-5: HOLIDAYS, VACATIONS AND LEAVES:
   A.   Holidays: The employees of the Village shall be granted paid holidays on the following occasions: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, one-half (1/2) day before Christmas and one-half (1/2) day before New Year's; said dates to be determined by Illinois Compiled Statutes from time to time.
   B.   Bereavement Leave: Each employee shall be entitled to three (3) days' time off with pay at the time of the death of a member of the immediate family of said employee to include the death of a mother, father, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father- in-law, or grandparents.    C.   Sick Leave And Personal Leave: Each employee shall be entitled to five (5) days' sick leave and five (5) days' personal leave. Sick days can carry over for one year. (1993 Code p. 19 Ord. 486, 2-4-1985; amd. 2006 Code)
   D.   Vacations: Each employee shall be entitled to one week vacation upon completion of one year of continuous employment; two (2) weeks of vacation upon completion of two (2) years of employment; and three (3) weeks' vacation upon completion of ten (10) years of continuous employment.    E.   Credits: Any full time employee utilizing holidays, vacation days, casual days or sick leave shall receive as a credit the hours so utilized, which shall be applied to that employee's credit toward the forty (40) hour work week of that employee. (Ord. 2010-0802, 8-2-2010)
