6-2-2: VIOLATIONS AUTHORIZING IMPOUND:
   A.   The provisions of this chapter shall be in addition to and shall not replace or otherwise abrogate any existing state or federal law or village ordinance that relates to the seizure and/or impoundment of motor vehicles, and any penalty provided herein shall be in addition to any and all penalties that may be assessed or imposed by a court for violation of any criminal offense or local ordinance violation offense.
   B.   Any motor vehicle, operated/possessed by the owner of record or with the express or implied permission of the owner of record, that is used in connection with the following violations, including all issued state and federal warrants for arrest, shall be subject to seizure and impoundment by the village of Stronghurst, and the owner of record of said motor vehicle, shall be liable to the village for a level 1 administrative fee ($500.00), as provided for in this chapter, in addition to any additional fines, court fees, incarceration, towing and storage fees as hereinafter provided.

   C.   Any motor vehicle, operated/possessed by the owner of record or with the express or implied permission of the owner of record, that is not used in connection with any violations not listed in subsection B of this section, involving motor vehicles, may still result in seizure and impoundment by the village, the owner of record of said motor vehicle, shall be liable to the village for a level 2 administrative fee ($250.00), as provided for in this chapter, in addition to any additional fines, court fees, incarceration, towing and storage fees as hereinafter provided.
