EDITOR'S NOTE: Former Chapter 701 has been deleted from the Codified Ordinances. Ohio R.C. Chapter 4707, as amended by Am. H.B. 608 effective July 9, 1982, licenses both auction companies and auctioneers. Ohio R.C. 4707.111 now provides, "by enactment of Chapter 4707 of the Revised Code, it is the intent of the General Assembly to preempt municipal corporations and other political subdivisions from the regulation and licensing of auctioneers and auction sales."
