375.05 BICYCLE RULES.
   (a)   The provisions of Section 375.04 are incorporated into this section.
   (b)   Every person operating a bicycle shall strictly observe all traffic signs and signals and all other traffic rules and regulations as promulgated by the laws of the City of St. Clairsville and the Ohio Revised Code. Every person shall obey the orders and directives of every officer or any City official and/or employee of the City authorized to direct or regulate traffic.
   (c)   Any person riding a bicycle shall, at all times, use due and proper care to uphold pedestrian safety.
   (d)   No person shall operate a bicycle on a City sidewalk.
   (e)   Any person passing another person traveling in the same direction along the bikeway shall announce their intentions before passing. No person shall pass another bikeway user in a manner which endangers himself or herself or other users.
   (f)   All bicycle users shall operate as far right as possible, passing slower traffic on the left, yielding to oncoming traffic when passing.
   (g)   Any person riding a bicycle shall yield the right-of-way in the following circumstances:
      (1)   At any intersection, trail entrance or exit;
      (2)   To pedestrian traffic;
      (3)   When a vehicle is stopped to yield right-of-way to a pedestrian; and,
      (4)   When traffic is so close as to be a hazard.
   (h)   No person shall leave the paved portion of the bikeway, except to make minor repairs, rest or talk.
   (i)   No person shall enter or leave the bikeway at other than an authorized location.
   (j)   No two persons shall ride double on any bicycle unless it specifically contains two seats.
   (k)   No person shall operate a bicycle without the use of hands on the handle bars or performing other forms of trick riding or stunts.
   (l)   No person shall construct any ramp on the bikeway at anytime and for any reason.
