933.01 RULES AND REGULATIONS.
   The Mayor shall determine the opening and closing date of the municipal swimming pools, and he or she is further empowered to adopt such rules and regulations as he may deem necessary for the use of the municipal pools and bathhouses and for the conduct of those persons using such facilities as are not inconsistent with the purpose and intent of this chapter. A copy of such rules and regulations shall be on file with the Clerk of Council, and a copy shall also be prominently displayed in the bathhouse of each pool.

933.02 HOURS OF USE.
   Regular swimming sessions shall be from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., except Sundays when the hours shall be from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Special sessions may be scheduled by the Mayor when, in the best interests of the pool and the proper use thereof by the citizens of the City, he or she may deem proper.

933.03 FUND ESTABLISHED.
   There is hereby established, separate and apart from the General Fund, a Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance Fund into which moneys realized from the sale of season passes, general admission tickets and other pool income shall be directly paid.

933.04 PAYMENT OF EXPENSES.
   All expenditures for the payment of wages, equipment, supplies, utilities, maintenance of equipment and such other expenses incurred in the operation of such pools and the maintenance of the same shall be paid from the Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance Fund upon authorization of the Director of Service, except that where any expenditure, other than the compensation of persons employed, exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000) such expenditure shall be authorized by Council and a contract therefor entered into with the lowest and best bidder after advertising as required by law.

933.05 INCOME ESTIMATE.
   The Director of Service shall annually submit to Council an estimate of the income anticipated from the public operation of the swimming pools and facilities, which estimated amount, together with any funds appropriated from the General Fund and the unexpended balances from the preceding year, shall be the total sum appropriated by Council for the use of the Swimming Pool Operation and Maintenance Fund, except that revised estimates may be submitted from time to time by the Director and Council may pass such supplemental appropriation as may be required thereby.

933.06 RECORD OF ACTIVITIES.
   The Director of Finance may separate and classify the appropriation for the swimming pool operation and maintenance into such accounts as he deems proper and in the best interests of maintaining an accurate record of the activities of the Fund.
