As used in the Uniform Housing Code, as adopted in Section 1498.01, "jurisdiction" means the corporate limits of the City and the unincorporated area two miles beyond and adjacent to the corporate boundaries.

The members of Council shall constitute the Housing Advisory and Appeals Board provided for in Section 203 of the Uniform Housing Code, as adopted in Section 1498.01.

Nothing in this chapter or in the Uniform Housing Code shall be construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court, or any right acquired, liability incurred or cause of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance repealed by this chapter, nor shall any right or remedy of any character by lost, impaired or affected by this chapter.

In the event of a conflict between any of the provisions of the Uniform Housing Code, as adopted in Section 1498.01, and a provision of these Codified Ordinances or any other local ordinance, resolution, rule or regulation, the latter shall control.

Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the provisions of this chapter, including the provisions of the Uniform Housing Code adopted in Section 1498.01, for which no penalty is otherwise provided, shall be fined not more than two hundred dollars ($200.00) for each offense. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation or noncompliance occurs or continues.
