Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for each violation, except as otherwise provided in the Illinois Vehicle Code. Notwithstanding anything contained in this section, the offense of driving under the influence is a Class A misdemeanor and is punishable accordingly. All citations issued for violation of this chapter shall be in the name of the village and shall refer to the number sections in the chapters adopted in section 6-1-1 of this chapter, but shall also be referred to as an ordinance violation in the traffic ticket or complaint.
