A. There is hereby created the office of chief of police. The chief of police shall be appointed by the village administrator, with the approval of a majority vote of the president and board of trustees 1 .
C. The chief of police shall keep such records and make such reports concerning the activities of his department as may be required by the statutes of the state or ordinance of the village or by rules of the board of fire and police commissioners as adopted by the village board of trustees.
