A. Discharge Prohibited; Exceptions: It shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any gun, pistol, air rifle, pellet gun, or other firearm within the village; provided, however, that this subsection shall not apply to police officers, special commissioned officers or other persons acting under their supervision and control, in the proper performance of their lawful duties.
B. Minors: It shall be unlawful for any parent or guardian of any child under the age of eighteen (18) years to permit, suffer or allow any such child to handle or to have in his possession within the village any cannon, gun, pistol, firearm or any toy gun, toy cannon, toy pistol, air gun or any similar weapon which, if discharged, shall be of sufficient force or power to inflict bodily injury.
C. Penalty: Any person found guilty of violating any provision of this section shall be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00). (1984 Code § 9-3-1)
