A. Established: Primary enforcement of this chapter shall be with the county animal control division. The village may enforce this chapter through the village police department. The chief of police shall oversee enforcement by the village.
B. Powers And Duties: Without limiting those powers and duties prescribed by law and ordinance, animal control officers shall:
1. Exercise the powers and perform the duties contained in this chapter.
2. Impound animals pursuant to provisions of this chapter at the county animal pound or other facility approved by the chief of police. (Ord. 2007-10, 12-18-2007)
