5-1-1: NUISANCES DECLARED; PROHIBITED ACTS:
   A.   Accumulation Of Weeds, Garbage And Debris: The presence upon lands lying within the corporate limits of the village of brush, weeds, obnoxious growth, filth, garbage, trash and debris, other than trees, bushes, flowers, or other ornamental plants, is hereby declared to be detrimental to public health and a nuisance. It shall be unlawful for anyone to permit any weeds, grass or plants, other than trees, bushes, flowers, or other ornamental plants, to grow to a height exceeding eight inches (8") anywhere in the village.    B.   Placement Of Trash Receptacles: The placement and use of trash receptacles and consumer and commercial trash bins in a manner inconsistent with their intended use, such as the extended placement of a large commercial trash receptacle on a residential property for an extended period of time, shall constitute a nuisance.
   C.   Deposit On Public Ways: It shall be unlawful for any person to cast, place, sweep or deposit anywhere within the jurisdiction of the village any substance, article or thing herein referred to as "waste", in such a manner that they or any of them may be carried or deposited, by the action of the sun, wind, rain or snow, into or upon any street, sidewalk, alley, sewer, parkway or other public place, or into any occupied premises within the jurisdiction of the village. "Waste", as used in this subsection, is hereby defined as including any materials referred to under subsection A of this section. (2010 Code)
