9-4-1: DEFINITIONS:
The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:
BLOCK PARTY: A party or social gathering held on a public street within the Village of Rosemont where the street is closed to motor vehicle traffic during the duration of the party or gathering.
SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL AREA: Those areas of the Village which are zoned A Single-Family District under the Village of Rosemont Zoning Map and zoning ordinance.

9-4-2: PERMIT AND COMPLIANCE REQUIRED:
No block party shall take place unless a permit for the block party has been issued by the Village as provided in this chapter. Persons who organize a block party for which a permit has not been issued as provided in this chapter and those persons who participate in a block party with knowledge that a permit for the block party has not been issued as provided in this chapter shall be in violation of this chapter.

9-4-3: APPLICATION FOR PERMIT:
Applications for permits shall be submitted to the Village Clerk. The Village Clerk may prescribe and furnish permit application forms. Each application shall contain the date and hours of the proposed block party, the location where the block party will occur and the name, address and telephone number of the person submitting the application. An application for a permit shall be submitted not less than three (3) working days prior to the date on which the block party is to be held. The person submitting an application for a permit for a block party must reside on the block where the block party is to occur.
