§ 121A.01 ADOPTION OF FOOD HANDLING REGULATION ENFORCEMENT ACT.
   (A)   The village hereby adopts and incorporates the provisions of the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act (ILCS Ch. 410, Act 625, §§ 1 et seq.), as amended.
   (B)   Home kitchen operations and cottage food operations, as defined by the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act, as amended, are permitted within the Village of Romeoville. The sale of non-potentially hazardous food by home kitchen operations and by cottage food operations is also permitted in accordance with the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act.
   (C)   The village hereby authorizes the direct sale of baked goods as described in Section 4 of the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act.
   (D)   Violations of this chapter shall be subject to the general penalty provisions of § 10.99 of this Code. In addition, the village shall be entitled to pursue appropriate action in the Circuit Court of the 12th Judicial Circuit, Will County, Illinois to secure injunctive relief as necessary to enforce the provisions of this chapter and to prevent violations thereof.
