(a) There is hereby adopted by the Municipality, the 2011 Ohio Fire Code (OFC), along with any subsequent revisions thereto, and as amended from time to time as adopted by the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, Department of Commerce, effective November 1, 2011, and as published in Division 1301:7 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
(b) The following amendments, substitutions, additions and deletions to the Ohio Fire Code a described in subsection (a) above are hereby adopted:
(1) Section (c) 307.4.3 Exception: Portable outdoor fireplaces used at one- and two-family dwellings. Is deleted.
(2) Section (d) 308.1.4 Exceptions: 1. One- and two-family dwellings. Is deleted.
(3) Section (d) 308.1.4 Exceptions: 2. Where buildings, balconies and decks are protected by an automatic sprinkler system. Is deleted.

The purpose of this Code is to establish the minimum requirements consistent with nationally recognized good practice for providing a reasonable level of life safety and property protection from the hazards of fire, explosion or dangerous conditions in new and existing buildings, structures and premises and to provide safety to fire fighters and emergency responders during emergency operations.
