4-1-14: PENALTY; PERMIT REVOCATION; STOP WORK ORDERS:
The powers provided to the Village Manager, pursuant to section 2-7-3 of this code, with respect to the issuance of stop work orders and the revocation of permits shall be applicable to violations of any of the provisions of this chapter. Such issued stop work orders shall be removed upon meeting all requirements set by the Village, including applicable fees as provided for by Subsection A of Section 4-1-4 (Permit Fees). In addition, any person who undertakes any work in violation of a stop work order or following the revocation of a permit issued for such work, and any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to the penalty as provided for by section 1-4-1 of this code for each such separate violation. In lieu of filing a complaint in court, the proper police officer or other designated officer may employ the compromise and settlement procedure as provided in section 1-4-6 of this code in full settlement, compromise and disposition of any claimed violation of this chapter.
