   (A)   Using this section. The following pages contain the design standards for site and infrastructure improvements associated with subdivisions, planned developments and development plan approval. There are two ways to determine which design standards apply to a specific type of petition. They are:
      (1)   Using layouts. Refer to the layouts in §§ 165.365 through 165.374 for a specific subdivision type. Applicable design standards for that specific subdivision type are identified in the division “Additional Design Standards that Apply”. Only the sections and divisions noted in the “Additional Design Standards that Apply” section apply to that subdivision type; and
      (2)   Using icons. Refer to the project icons used at the top of each design standards section in §§ 165.385 through 165.401 and 165.415 through 165.424. Each design standard section begins with an introductory sentence followed by icons that stand for subdivision or project type. These project icons note that the design standards written in that section applies to that type of application.
