Any person who shall violate any provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, forfeit a sum equal to that provided for by the forfeiture schedule used by the circuit court of Manitowoc County, except for parking violations. All parking violations shall be twenty five dollars ($25.00). In default of the payment of the forfeiture and costs of prosecution, said person shall be imprisoned in the county jail, not exceeding ninety (90) days, unless a longer imprisonment is ordered by the court or until such time as the forfeiture and costs are paid. However, in those cases where a forfeiture and imprisonment are provided for in the forfeiture schedule of said circuit court, said court may impose both.
A. Forfeited Penalty: The sum to be forfeited pursuant to such stipulation shall be provided in the schedule of penalties provided by this chapter.
B. Bail Bonds: Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the right of proper authorities to accept bail bonds, deposits or certificates of money deposits as provided in Wisconsin statutes. (Ord. 2008-1, 3-17-2008)
