Every owner of a dog or cat and every other person who knows that a dog or cat has bitten any person shall immediately report such fact, in writing, to the appropriate village official, and such owner shall immediately confine said dog or cat for at least fourteen (14) days thereafter and shall not release such dog or cat except with the written approval of the village official. Any such dog or cat shall be surrendered to the village official upon demand. (Ord., 8-2-1999)
