4-3-12: QUARANTINE FOR RABIES:
During the time that the village or any part thereof shall be quarantined for rabies pursuant to the provisions of section 95.21, Wisconsin statutes, or any other lawful provision, all dogs or cats within the district so quarantined shall be kept securely confined, tied, leashed, or muzzled. Any dog or cat not so kept securely confined, tied, leashed, or muzzled is declared to be a public nuisance and shall be impounded by the village official or other person. Upon the impounding of such dog or cat, notice thereof shall be given, the possession of said dog or cat may be obtained and report thereof made in the manner provided in section 4-3-10 of this chapter. Any person who fails to comply with the provisions of this section requiring the confining, keeping, tying, holding in leash or muzzling of any such dog or cat, shall be guilty of a violation of this chapter.
