Excavation and fill permits shall be valid for one year and shall expire by limitation when no work is started within 180 days from the date of issuance. However, two renewals, which shall be valid for one year periods, shall be granted upon written application made prior to the expiration of the permit and payment of a fee of one-half the permit fee. The minimum fee for any renewal shall be $25 and the maximum fee for any renewal shall be $100.
