§ 1480.01 BASIS FOR NUMBERING.
   The owner of a building on any street or alley in the city shall, within 30 days from the date of being notified of the proper number of such building by the city, place the same in a conspicuous place on the front of the building. One whole number shall be allowed for every 25 feet of ground wherever practical, whether improved or vacant, provided that a house or tenement with less frontage than 25 feet shall receive a whole number. A street or alley running north and south shall be numbered from the south corporation line, with odd numbers on the west side and even numbers on the east side of the street or alley. A street or alley running east and west shall be numbered eastwardly from Reading Road to the terminus of such strut or alley, and westwardly from Reading Road to the terminus of such street or alley, with odd numbers on the south side and even numbers on the north side of such street or alley. In numbering any such street or alley, each block or square shall be numbered in increments of 100, the first block being numbered from zero through 99 and the second block being numbered from 100 through 199, and the like.
