§ 244.09 LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR EMPLOYEES IN MILITARY SERVICE.
   (A)   The Council finds it necessary and in the best interests of the city to authorize leaves of absence for employees who are members of the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Military Reserve, the Ohio Naval Militia, or members of other reserve components of the Armed Forces of the United States for such time as they are in the military on field training or active duty.
   (B)   During any such leave of absence for a period not to exceed 31 days in any one calendar year, the employee shall be paid by the city the difference between his gross monthly wage or salary as an employee and the sum of his gross military pay and allowances for that month.
