§ 244.07 HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE FOR PART-TIME EMPLOYEES AND ELECTED OFFICIALS.
   (A)   Council finds that it is in the best interest of the city to provide eligibility in the city's Health Care Benefit and Life Insurance Program for permanent part-time employees and elected officials.
   (B)   By reason thereof, the plan shall include:
      (1)   Permanent part-time employees who work an average of 20 or more hours per week for the employer, and after 20 years of service, shall be permitted to stay in the plan until eligibility for P.E.R.S. occurs; and
      (2)   Any elected official and the Clerk of Council who is carrying out the duties applicable to such office. The minimum hours worked requirements shall not apply to elected officials and the Clerk of Council.
   (C)   Permanent part-time employees and elected officials (as defined in division (B)) shall be responsible for 100% of the cost of the plan (including dependent coverage cost, if elected). In addition, such permanent part-time employee or elected official must provide evidence of good health for himself or herself and each dependent satisfactory and acceptable to the claims administrator.
