§ 244.01 LOYALTY OATHS.
   Every person now in or entering the service of the city as an officer or employee shall, before being lawfully qualified to exercise the functions and perform the duties of his or her office or employment, subscribe to an oath or affirmation declaring his or her support of the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State and his or her loyalty to the governments of the United States, the state and the city. Such loyalty oath shall be executed before a notary public or other officer authorized by the laws of the state to administer oaths of office.
